What are your hours of operation?
The Aldridge Early Learning Center is in operation year round:
Monday – Friday
5:15 a.m. – 6:00 p.m
What ages do you serve?
We serve children ages 6 weeks through 12 years
How do I choose the right child care provider?
Choosing the right child care provider, can often be an overwhelming experience.
Hopefully, with the assistance of the Choosing Child Care (opens in new window) checklist, you will find a provider that will best meet the needs of you and your family.
What are your rates?
Our rates are compatible with those determined to be the market rates for our area. Families eligible for a fee subsidy are assessed a monthly childcare fee based upon the household's gross monthly income and family size. To preliminarily determine if you are eligible for subsidized child care, use the Illinois Department of Human Services' child care eligibility calculator (opens in new window).
How do I enroll my child?
There is a $15, per family, enrollment fee.

How will I know if you're closed due to SEVERE WEATHER?
In the event severe weather forces us to close, announcements will be made on the local television and radio stations.
What happens if my child gets sick?
- Temperature over 100<
- Pink Eye
- Impetigo
- Un-identifiable Rashes
- Head Lice
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Scabies
- ANY CONTAGIOUS DISEASES
Parents are requested to keep their child home if they display any symptoms. The child we be readmitted to the center once he/she has been symptom free (& has not required medication for fever/temperature) for 24 hours.
My child takes a medication daily, who will give it to him?
We will administer prescribed medications in accordance with the instructions on the bottle. An Administration of Medication form must first be completed by the parent/guardian.
Can my friend pick up my children for me?
Your child will only be released to you and those you listed on the enrollment application. You will need to put in writing any request to change (add or delete) people who can pick up your child. (Change of Information form)
Each of those adults should have their own access code that permits them to unlock the foyer door and enter the building. Therefore, we ask you NOT to allow anyone else to use your access code.
Before releasing a your child to an unfamiliar person on your list, we will require a picture I.D.
What if my child gets hurt?
Occasionally during play, children fall or are otherwise hurt while in our care. In the case of ALL injuries, whether it is a "minor" bump or scratch or a "major" injury, we will contact you immediately.
Our policy is to contact parents each time a child receives any type of injury while in our care. Please do not be alarmed when we call you. We are fulfilling a licensing requirement.
